Ever dream of being Elvis for the day? From November 1 through December 6, The Marriott Theatre invites all Chicagoans to show their love for the King of Rock ‘n Roll by wearing their Blue Suede Shoes, sequins and leisure suits to the hit musical ALL SHOOK UP. Any theatergoer dressed as Elvis will receive a certificate to redeem for two free tickets to a Marriott production of their choice in 2009 (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Light in Piazza, Hairspray, or My Fair Lady). To obtain their certificate, costumed “Elvises” should visit the box office 30 minutes prior to the show. ALL SHOOK UP runs through December 6 at the Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive. THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the hit production presented by Fellowship for the Performing Arts at The Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Avenue, will feature special Wednesday night talk-backs with Max McLean (co-creator and star) and Jeffrey Fiske (co-creator and director) from November 5 through December 10 (there is no show on November 26.) On Wednesdays, Cullen’s Bar & Grill, the restaurant connected to the theater, is offering a special dinner price of only $26.00 total for two, which includes an appetizer, two entrees, and two desserts.
