Lincolnshire, IL — The Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, wraps up its highly acclaimed 2009 season with an enchanting retelling of the timeless Tony Award-winning musical MY FAIR LADY. The production previews December 9th, opens December 16th, and runs through February 14, 2010. Dominic Missimi (Les Miserables) will direct.

Rounding out their 2009-10 smash hit season, Drury Lane Oakbrook, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, presents the 1964 classic Broadway musical comedy FUNNY GIRL. Based on the life of Ziegfeld Follies comedienne Fanny Brice, FUNNY GIRL will be co-directed by Gary Griffin and William Osetek. Griffin serves as the Associate Producer at Drury Lane Oakbrook. He has directed Broadway’s THE COLOR PURPLE as well as numerous other productions in London, New York and Chicago. Griffin is an eight time Jeff Award winner. William Osetek currently serves as Drury Lane Oakbrook’s Artistic Director, and has directed numerous productions at the theater, most recently having directed THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE. FUNNY GIRL previews December 31, opens January 7 and runs through March 7.

Munster, Ind.- In celebration of their upcoming milestone 20th anniversary season, Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, one of Chicago’s top musical theaters, will host seven exciting educational workshops for the young theater enthusiasts of Chicagoland. These workshops will provide students of all ages with the environment to explore the world around them through theatre, to have fun with creative expression while building self-esteem, and to expand communication and creative problem solving skills. These winter 2010 classes will begin January 11th and run through March 3, 2010.
