Gary/Chicago Iinternational Airport Announces New Airport Shuttle Services

“The shuttle services will provide Skybus Airlines passengers with new and convenient transportation options while traveling to and from the airport,” said Airport Director Chris Curry.

Gary/Chicago International Airport is 35 minutes from downtown Chicago and offers an easy and hassle-free way to travel. The shuttle services will complement the airport by providing passengers easy access to and from the airport to both Chicago and the South Shore Line, which carries passengers to Indiana and Illinois train stations.

Details for the two airport shuttles include:

Airport Shuttle 1
Chicago Transit Authority Station at Roosevelt Rd. - $20.* each way per person; Stony Island Metra Station at 71st St. - $15.* each way per person

Shuttle service from Chicago to the airport:
The shuttle will depart the Roosevelt Road CTA Station (3 hours prior to Skybus flight departures) and will also stop at the Metra Station (2.5 hours prior to Skybus flight departures).

Shuttle service from the airport to Chicago:
The shuttle will depart the Terminal 20 minutes after Skybus flight arrivals.

South Shore Line Train at Gary/Chicago Airport Stop - $1.* each way per person,

Shuttle service from South Shore Line station the Terminal:
The shuttle operates 3.5 hours before Skybus flight departure times.

Shuttle service from the Terminal to the South Shore Line station: The shuttle will depart the Terminal 10 minutes prior to South Shore Line train arrivals (operates for first available train only east/west).
