Katie, a senior at Munster High School, has taken advanced classes in Band, Calculus, Economics, English, English Literature, Orchestra, U.S. Government and U.S. History. At MHS, she is a member of Project X, a service club, Spanish Club and SADD. She is a member of the Speech and Debate Team, MHS Band, Orchestra and the Munster Theatre Company. Katie has been a Girl Scout for 12 years. She is a three year volunteer at the Munster Historical Society. She also volunteered during Munster’s 2008 flood relief. She has been employed at Munster Library with the Reading Program. In college, Katie plans to major in International Relations, go on to law school, and then become a U.S. Ambassador.
Kurt Alberson is also a senior at Munster High School. He has taken advanced classes in Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Economics, Physics, Speech and Communication, and U.S. Government. In sports, he participates in Soccer and Track. He is a member of the Munster Theatre Company and the Speech and Debate Team. Kurt has tutored through Project X and National Honor Society. He is a member of his church youth group and has taken mission trips with them. He worked for Calumet Electrical Supply for two summers. Kurt plans to attend Purdue University to study Medical Engineering with Pre-Med. He plans to become a doctor.
