The 28 year-old pitched last season with Harrisburg, the Nationals Double-A affiliate, going 2-5 with a 4.05 earned run average in 43 appearances. He also has a career record of 20-17 with a 3.30 ERA; mostly being used as a reliever.

The 6-4 southpaw, who is a Chapin, S.C. resident, played his college baseball Winthrop University in South Carolina.
