Mr. Salvi and his wife, Lindy, purchased the 2007 Northern League Champion RailCats from the investment group of George Huber, Tim Haffner, Mike Tatoian, Anthony Zirille, Richard Hill, David Ross and Lloyd McClendon.
“The RailCats have an incredible fan base, loyal sponsors, a world-class stadium… and championship-level talent both on the field and in the front office,” said Mr. Salvi. “We plan to build on the hard work of Mr. Huber and his partners—to continue to give the City of Gary and baseball fans of the surrounding communities something special to celebrate, year in and year out.”
Mr. Salvi is the managing partner of the Illinois-based law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C.
“The Northern League welcomes Patrick Salvi and his family as owner of the League's champion team, the Gary SouthShore RailCats,” said Clark Griffith, Commissioner on the Northern League. “I look forward to joining Mr. Salvi on May 15th as the team opens the defense of its Championship and we raise the Championship Pennant above The Steel Yard while anticipating another Championship by General Manager Bill Terlecky and Manager Greg Tagert.”
