The Lakeshore Public Media Professional Women’s Conference presented by NIPSCO is an exhilarating and educational event for professional and influential women representing diverse industries from Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.

Attendees will enjoy a full day of nationally known speakers, unique professional development and networking opportunities for women in all stages of the business world.  The event takes place on September 19 from 8am to 5pm at the Blue Chip Casino, Hotel and Spa in Michigan City.

“This conference is an amazing opportunity for women in our community to meet and connect in a nurturing environment,” said Loren Ellis, the conference director for Lakeshore Public Media.  “It’s wonderful professional training as well as networking opportunity for businesses and organizations that are interested in assisting their employees to connect with other professional women in the community.”

The featured keynote speaker is Sandra S. Yamate, CEO of the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession.  Yamate will address the challenges and the need to have a critical conversation about the intersection of gender and race for professional women.

This year’s high level breakout sessions will feature topics ranging from recognizing your strengths and creating strong interpersonal engagements to networking and personal branding.  Attendees will also have several networking opportunities and vendor booths
