On Sunday, September 27 from 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM, the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra (LCSO) will perform at the Band Shell in Fox Park in La Porte for a concert presentation designed for the whole family. The concert is free and open to the public thanks to the generosity of two anonymous donors.
Featured at this concert will be the 2020 Hoosier Star Adult Division Winner, Alyse Flores, singing the Michael Buble classic, “Feelin’ Good” and Youth Division Winner, Julia Larson, singing “Never Enough” from The Greatest Show.

Now in its 48th season, the LCSO is a pillar of the performing arts community serving audiences across seven counties. At the September 27 concert, 38 musicians of the LCSO, along with Interim Music Director and Conductor, Chuck Steck, will join together and socially distance at the Fox Park Band Shell to celebrate America. In addition to the newest Hoosier Star winners, the program will include tributes to Cole Porter and Irving Berlin along with popular “Americana” favorites.
“The LCSO is excited to perform live in the City of La Porte and in front of a live audience again! Beautiful Fox Park is such a wonderful setting to hear some great orchestral music and enjoy the fall outdoors, ” stated Steck.
The LSCO asks that guests socially distance with their seating and wear face coverings when it is not possible to stay 6 feet away from those outside of their own friend and family units. The “Arts in the Park” Concession Stand will be open before and during the concert.
