On Wednesday, January 13, the Block Ave ramp to State Road 912 and Inland Steel/Marina Entrance in East Chicago will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Midwestern Electric will be removing overhead lighting towers in these two locations. INDOT urges drivers to stay alert near crews and follow traffic directions carefully. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time when driving through this area. Drivers should slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
