During the past nine weeks, the fifth grade students at those schools have been going through the D.A.R.E. Program where they have been learning about drug prevention, bullying prevention, resisting peer pressure, and more. As a capstone for the program, the high school students spent time answering the fifth grade students’ questions about how they have successfully resisted peer pressure and also provided valuable advice to the students for the future. The Munster Police Department would like to thank the 26 students who participated as D.A.R.E. Role Models this semester, who were chosen due to their grades and involvement in positive activities. We hope that the many students who attended their presentations learned a lot and that they will use the advice that they received during their future middle and high school years.
