Munster native Todd Rokita was sworn in today (1/11/2021) as the 44th Attorney General for the State of Indiana. The ceremony, hosted at the Indiana State Museum, was closed to the public due to public health concerns. Rokita was elected in November, garnering the highest vote total for a statewide elected official in Indiana history.
Master Trooper Aaron McCormick was recently recognized for achieving 25 years of service with the Indiana State Police. McCormick graduated from the 53rd ISP Recruit School on December 24th, 1995.

Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) classes have been presented in Munster schools for over 30 years, and will begin for the fifth grade students at the public and parochial schools this month. The fifth grade curriculum includes lessons on drug prevention, bullying prevention, choosing positive associations, using help networks, and more. The fifth graders will receive D.A.R.E. t-shirts and other items upon their completion of the program in May
