The Art Barn School of Art announced today that its Art Blitz will be live-streamed on Saturday September 19 from noon to 4:00 pm in place of the in-person festival.  The 4th annual Art Blitz event helps the Art Barn highlight its educational art offerings with live demonstrations and exhibitions of regional art.

Last November, Lyric Opera of Chicago announced plans for a significant renovation and improvement project in Lyric's Ardis Krainik Theatre—one of the most ambitious improvement projects in the company's history. The Distressed Unit Appeal Board (DUAB) announced at its meeting today that it would drop the “emergency” part of the title for the Gary Community School Corporation’s manager as a sign of the progress being made across the district. The manager, who provides the day-to-day leadership, is career teacher and administrator Dr. Paige McNulty.
