In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and following the recommendations of Governor J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Steppenwolf Theatre Company has made the decision to cancel the remaining performances of Bug. We will also cancel the touring production and remaining student matinée and public performances of Steppenwolf for Young Adults' production of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, as well as visiting company First Floor Theater’s remaining performances of Plano.

The Greenhouse is committed to the health and safety of our artists, patrons and staff. With the growing concerns related to COVID-19, we have established new guidelines to help you feel safe and comfortable in our theater. At this moment, with the exception of THE LAYOVER, our performances will proceed as scheduled.

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Kokandy Productions today announced it will postpone its Chicago premiere musical Hundred Days, which was set to open tonight and run through Sunday, April 12, 2020 at The Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. in Chicago.

First Folio Theater is announcing that our production of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, by Heather Chrisler, has been suspended for the time being, due to concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Due to increasing public health concerns surrounding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot’s guidance on public gathering and social distancing, all remaining performances of Her Honor Jane Byrne have been canceled.

The health and safety of the Art Institute community is our highest priority. As such, the museum will close for two weeks beginning on March 14 so that we can thoroughly and thoughtfully respond to the escalating impact of COVID-19. We plan to reopen the museum on Saturday, March 28. All museum events—tours, lectures, performances, etc.—will remain on hiatus through April 10.
