Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana celebrated outgoing Board members and introduced new Board Officers during its annual awards ceremony. The event honored nine individuals who served the organization’s Board for a combined 75 years in a number of capacities, including as officers and committee members.

Sue Vrska will be teaching a Mixed Media Flower Canvas Workshop on Saturday, February 28 from 9-1 at the Chesterton Art Center. In this workshop, students will begin by creating individually designed papers, and turning them into works of art.

The Natural Resources Commission (NRC), during its regularly scheduled bi-monthly meeting on Jan. 21 at Fort Harrison State Park, approved the creation of a new nature preserve, Patoka Hills Nature Preserve, in Crawford County.
