On Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9am to 5pm, Art Barn School of Art invites the public to immerse themselves in a full day of artistic exploration, meaningful connection with our community partners, and the great outdoors at its 9th Annual Art Blitz festival. The festival is located at 695 N 400 E, Valparaiso IN with FREE admission and parking.
Suited for families, art lovers, and fall enthusiasts of all ages, Art Blitz transforms Art Barn’s scenic 69-acre grounds into a vibrant and welcoming creative space. Throughout the day, visitors will enjoy hands-on art activities, artist demonstrations, engaging exhibits and live music from local musicians. There will be free and ticketed activities, with activity tickets available for purchase at the gate.
Returning Favorites
Fan-favorite activities such as paint-a-pot, chair painting, face painting, and sunflower cutting will be returning to this year's Art Blitz. Additionally, the free scavenger hunt, "unicorn sightings", and mural painting will be making a comeback.

New at Art Blitz This Year
This year’s Art Blitz brings several exciting additions to its activity roster. Look forward to creating your very own t-shirt design, origami butterflies, and hand-made prints. Enjoy the charm of horse-drawn hayrides as you soak in the sights of early fall. Don’t miss the ribbon cutting ceremony for a brand-new Tiny Library, a community project built by two local Girl Scouts for their Cadette Silver Award. Enjoy delicious bites from Chesterton-based Chomp Food Truck. Shop the Indoor Artist Market, showcasing works by Art Barn’s talented teaching artists, and rummage for new/gently used art supplies at the inaugural Art Supplies Garage Sale.
“Art Blitz is an entry point to the arts and a fantastic and fun way to learn about what we do,” states Executive Director Amy Davis Navardauskas. “Not only can you roll up your sleeves and make something with your family, but you can also witness firsthand how we impact our community.”
Art Blitz serves as one of Art Barn’s largest annual fundraising events, with all proceeds from ticketed activities, and the new Art Supplies Garage Sale, going directly toward supporting educational programs. This event is an opportunity to showcase the quality of programming Art Barn offers, as well as, its commitment to community engagement.

Art Barn offers a diverse range of programs, including adult & youth classes, community workshops, and guest artist workshops, fostering creativity, diversity, and connection. Art Barn hosts an annual Juried Art Exhibition in June that recognizes the creation of original quality 2-D works of art, as well as ceramics. The exhibition, with a 30-year history, attracts 400+ entries from aspiring and established artists from the region and nation. The mission of the Art Barn School of Art is to inspire creativity across generations by providing an inclusive, nature-based space where artists of all skill levels can explore, experiment and grow through the arts.
