Chicago’s “official” Christmas tree, the 112th Annual City of Chicago Christmas Tree in Millennium Park, will shine brightly near the intersection of Michigan Ave. and Washington St.
The tree will be illuminated on Friday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. during the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The tree will remain illuminated through Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026.
Guests can enjoy multiple viewing areas throughout Millennium Park, complete with giant screens, seasonal treats, and a vibrant main stage along Washington Street, right beside the Chicago Cultural Center. This Year's Christmas Tree
This year’s Christmas tree is a generous gift from Ryan and Jody Mason of Glenview, Illinois, whose family donated their towering Norway spruce with the City of Chicago. Estimated at approximately 68-feet tall and decorated with 185 lit spheres, 1,200 light strings, over 119,000 LED lights and 39,250 feet of lighting that equals to nearly 8 miles of glimmering lights, the tree will be on display in Millennium Park through early January.
