Porter County Parks hosts annual Winter Lights Drive Thru
Porter County Parks Winter Lights Drive Thru runs from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily, November 24th through December 31st at Sunset Hill Farm County Park in Valparaiso.
More than 300 displays, many hand-made by members of the Northwest Indiana Historical Power Association and park staff, are arranged around the park.
Visitors are invited to drive past the displays through New Year’s. The lights come on at dusk and stay on until 10om each night. Driving through the park to see the lights is free, but a donation box is available for those who would like to contribute.
Winter Lights has been a tradition for the better part of a decade at Sunset Hill. Porter County Parks and Recreation Superintendent Walter Lenckos says the festival “encourages people to visit their local park, even in the winter months.”
