Date:
Sun, 11/10/2019 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm

There will be a ceremony to honor WWII veterans Daniel J. Mattingly and Marvin R. Sabatino with the French Legion of Honor, at 2:00 p.m. EST, November 10th, at the Indiana War Memorial 55 E. Michigan St. Indianapolis.  Guillaume Lacroix, Counsel General of France to the Midwest will present the medals.

The French Legion of Honor is the highest French award for military and civil merits and was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802. It is their equivalent of our Medal of Honor. France has never forgotten what our country did to keep them free. These ceremonies pay honor to US service members who assisted in maintaining their freedoms. The ceremonies are very heartfelt and emotional. Respectfully request you assist us in distributing the attached flyer. Hope to see you there.
