The Memorial Opera House Foundation invites the community to step back into the glamour, elegance, and excitement of the Jazz Age during Broadway Ball: A Roaring Twenties Soirée, the Foundation's signature fundraising gala, on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and a buffet dinner at Parea Restaurant, followed by festivities at Memorial Opera House featuring a cash bar, dessert bar, silent auction, and an exclusive live preview of the Memorial Opera House's exciting 2027 Mainstage Season.
Inspired by the sophistication and exuberance of the Roaring Twenties, guests are encouraged to embrace the era by wearing formal attire, flapper dresses, feathered headpieces, tuxedos, and other Jazz Age fashions. Formal attire is optional.
More than an elegant evening of entertainment, Broadway Ball serves an important purpose. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Memorial Opera House Foundation, whose mission is: "To provide financial support to Memorial Opera House so that they may use theatre and the arts to build community and create a sense of belonging."
Funds raised during the gala will help ensure that Memorial Opera House continues to provide exceptional theatrical productions, educational and inclusive programming, and meaningful arts experiences that enrich the lives of residents throughout Northwest Indiana.
"This gala is more than a fundraiser—it's a celebration of the power of live theatre to bring people together," says Venue Director Scot MacDonald. "Every ticket purchased, every auction bid, and every sponsorship helps preserve Memorial Opera House as a vibrant cultural destination for generations to come."
