Welcome back to school, Munster community! After a difficult few weeks marked by the storm and extended power outages, the Munster Education Foundation is excited to see our community come together to support one another. We know many families are still navigating the challenges left in the storm’s wake, and we are grateful for the kindness, resilience, and care being shown throughout Munster.
With that in mind, we wanted to share that the MEF Fall Fest is still planned for Saturday, September 26. We know this is a different moment than the one we imagined when we first put this event on the calendar, and there is absolutely no pressure to participate. But we also believe there is value in continuing the work of supporting our schools.
Fall Fest is a fundraiser for the Munster Education Foundation, helping us provide innovative grants that give teachers and students opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. If you're ready to join us, we'd love to see you. If attending isn't right for you this year, simply sharing the event or keeping MEF's mission in mind means a great deal.
WHAT TO EXPECT!
Eat. We’ll have a great selection of appetizers, including wings, nachos, pretzel bites, mac & cheese bites, Philly cheesesteak rolls, and more.
Drink. Enjoy two MEF-curated drinks for the evening: the Mustang Reserve Cherry Old Fashioned and A+ Autumn Harvest Punch.
Play. We’ll have college football on the screens, music, yard games like Giant Jenga and Connect 4, and our Bags Tournament beginning at 7:00 PM.
Give. We’ll also have raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing, all helping raise funds for innovative grants for teachers and students through the Munster Education Foundation.
Whether you come for the food, bring a team for the bags tournament, gather with friends, or simply want to support the work MEF is doing in our schools, we’d love to have you with us!
Grab a partner and join us for the inaugural MEF Fall Fest Battle of the Bags, taking place as part of MEF Fall Fest at Byway Brewing Company!
Fall Fest begins at 6:00 PM, with the tournament kicking off at 7:00 PM. Enjoy an evening of great food, drinks, and community while competing for bragging rights and some fantastic prizes.
Tournament format (single elimination, double elimination, or modified double elimination) will be determined based on the number of teams registered to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.
The championship team will take home a Byway Brewing gift card for future use, along with the coveted inaugural Fall Fest Battle of the Bags trophy.
