NWI 2050 for Lake, LaPorte, and Porter Counties was adopted by the NIRPC Executive Board at the May 16, 2019 meeting. NWI 2050 builds on the successes of the award-winning 2040 Plan which was the first comprehensive regional plan for our three-county region. NWI 2050 takes a bold approach by planning at the center of the linkages between transportation, the environment, land use, and economic development.
NIRPC’s TIP is a short-range financial and spending plan for the utilization of federal transportation funding. These funds can be used for highway, transit, and non-motorized transportation projects. NIRPC's TIP is periodically updated and includes projects undertaken by municipalities, counties, transit operators, and the State of Indiana. Federal planning regulations guide the preparation and development of TIP documents.
The Air Quality Conformity Determination Report is a report that demonstrates that the project being modified by Amendment #7 to the TIP will not result in motor vehicle emissions that exceed the motor vehicle emissions budgets in the Indiana State Implementation Plan.
