November 8, 1904  Charles W. Fairbanks, U.S. Senator from Indiana, was elected Vice-President of the United States under Theodore Roosevelt.  The city in Alaska was named for him.

 

November 11, 1918  The Armistice was signed to end World War I.  More than 130,000 soldiers from Indiana had served.
