SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2-4PM,

Book release party for local writer, teacher and driving force in the Northwest Indiana literary scene, Janine Harrison, for her collection of poetry, "Weight of Silence." (Wordpool Press, Bloomington)  One hundred percent of poet proceeds will be donated to the not-for-profit organization Haitian Connection to help Haitians, particularly women with children.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH, 3pm-7pm, 8th SPOO WILLOUGHBY HOE DOWN AND CORN BOIL.

The incomparable Spoo returns for the 8th year with new and old-favorite tunes guaranteed to enrapture the innocent. Spoo will appear with guest artist JOHN COLSON, a songwriter of fresh and unique material with no influence or inspiration beyond his personal attempt to hammer out a shape from the distorted circumstance we encounter each day, building a view of the world around us that speaks to why we should not take ourselves too seriously, but relax,
laugh and enjoy. As tradition mandates, all the freshly prepared sweet corn you could possibly consume will be provided. Cover charge $9. No extra charge for dancing, foot stomping or hog calling or other exceedingly outlandish forms of vocal audience expression.

We hope you will make a plan to join us during September!
