The School of American Music invites the community to slow down, gather close, and lift their voices together at a joyful afternoon of music under the open sky.
Join us for the Harbor Country Singers Campfire Sing-Along on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT (1:00 pm CDT), set in the welcoming outdoor campfire circle at the Episcopal Church of the Mediator (14280 Red Arrow Highway, Harbert, MI).
This free, family-friendly event, produced by Pat Putnam, captures the simple magic of music shared in community. Led by the Harbor Country Singers, a beloved local choir and outreach program of the School of American Music, the afternoon will feature timeless favorites like This Land Is Your Land, Oh Shenandoah, Michael Row the Boat Ashore, and Down by the Riverside, along with other well-loved songs that invite everyone to sing along.
No experience needed - just bring your voice. Songbooks will be provided, and seating is available on campfire logs, with guests welcome to bring their own chairs or blankets for added comfort. In case of rain, the event will move indoors.
Come for the music, stay for the connection, and be part of a Harbor Country tradition in the making.
While admission is free, guests are encouraged to bring a donation of nonperishable food items for Neighbor by Neighbor, a local nonprofit that connects vulnerable residents of southwest Berrien County with vital services. Most needed items include pull-tab cans of soups, stews, tuna, ravioli, spaghetti, or other ready-to-eat foods.
The Harbor Country Singers is a project of the School of American Music, made possible through generous support from The Pokagon Fund, community donors, and the Episcopal Church of the Mediator, which graciously provides the venue.
