Explore how different animals live during the cold and snowy winter months as we read Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner. We’ll touch cozy animal furs, stash food just like many mammals do, and look for signs of animal life in winter! Please come dressed to spend the entire program outdoors. A coat, boots, and a water bottle are recommended. We will meet at the Lydick Bog Pavilion.
Tales & Trails invites children and their caregivers to gather for a short story that sparks curiosity, followed by an exploration of one of our beautiful conservation destinations. Expect to hear a tale and hike a trail together while discovering the natural wonders around us.
This is a 1.5-hour program designed for children ages 3-5, but younger siblings are invited to join as well. Please note that this site does not have potable water or outdoor restrooms.
