West Loop parking lot converted to outdoor drive-in for all-new, socially distanced activity families can enjoy together | Due to popular demand, The Beatrix Potter Drive-In Theatre Experience, a new outdoor show for families to enjoy together, has been extended through November 1. Performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in Chicago Children’s Theatre’s parking lot, 100 S. Racine St. in Chicago’s West Loop.
Bishop Noll finds ways to celebrate its 100th school year while adhering to re-entry plan guidelines
Bishop Noll Institute officially began its 100th school year in August, for the first time opening its doors with stringent pandemic precautions. Now six weeks into the semester, faculty and students have settled into the routine of the school’s re-entry plan, which allowed families to choose an education path that worked best for them.
The National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation present Poetry Out Loud™ in partnership with the Indiana Arts Commission. This national arts education program encourages the study of great poetry by offering free educational materials and a dynamic recitation competition to high schools across the country. This program helps students master public speaking skills and build self-confidence, while also learning more about both classic and contemporary poetry.
In an effort to provide Halloween options to parents this year, Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. has announced that there will be a City Wide Drive Through Trunk and Treat event held in the Hammond Sportsplex parking lot located at 6630 Indianapolis Boulevard on Friday, October 30th, 2020 from 5-7pm.
