The Schaumburg Boomers scored six times in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull away from the Mississippi Mud Monsters and score an 11-3 victory before a full house at Wintrust Field on Father’s Day.

The Gary SouthShore RailCats bounced back in a big way Sunday afternoon, cruising to a 9-1 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes to snap their six-game skid.

Chicago Fire FC (7-6-4, 25 points) fell 2-0 to Nashville SC (9-4-5, 32 points) Saturday night at Soldier Field.

The teams exchanged looks in the first half, with each side having a clear chance denied by good goalkeeping and the woodwork. Nashville opened the scoring in the second half, with forward Hany Mukhtar volleying home a cross from defender Andy Najar in the 56th minute.

Nashville doubled the lead in the 75th minute. Najar provided another assist, this time to leading goal scorer Sam Surridge, who weaved through the box to finish cleanly.

The Mississippi Mud Monsters scored three insurance runs late to post a 6-2 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers at Wintrust Field on Saturday night.

Chicago Fire FC II (5-4-3-1, 19 points) earned a 1-1 draw against Carolina Core FC (3-3-6-2, 17 points) Saturday night at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina.

"Iraq, but Funny" is a screwball comedy that had the opening night audience in stitches.  I didn’t know what to expect, but this show was so funny I missed lines because people were laughing. Playwright Atra Asdou ties the stories of five generations of Assyrian women into the history of the area by using the British guy as narrator and comic relief to tie it all together brilliantly. 4 BIG Spotlights
