The American Rescue Plan signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021 provides for another round of $1,400 stimulus checks for each eligible individual ($2,800 for couples), plus an additional $1,400 for each dependent. These payments will be reduced at certain levels of income. Unlike prior rounds, families will now receive additional assistance for adult dependents over the age of 17.

The Indiana Department of Health announced today that 919 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories.

Lake County- Tuesday (3/16/2021) morning at approximately 11:15 a.m., a Trooper with the Indiana State Police ACP Team (All Crimes Policing) stopped a vehicle on I-65 near the 240 mile-marker (Lowell exit).  The driver was stopped for a moving violation.
