Chicago Fire FC (0-1-1, 1 point) fell 2-1 against FC Cincinnati (1-0-1, 4 points) on Saturday night at Soldier Field. The result marked the Fire’s first defeat of the 2024 MLS campaign.

My two young sons, my mom, and I attended Roald Dahl’s "James and the Giant Peach" at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire.  The show was excellent.  The wonderful singing, colorful costumes, animated actors, and live action keeps the audience very engaged.  I highly recommend this play.  Go see how the giant peach sets James free!

**** Highly Recommended The Paramount Theatre production of "Billy Elliot: The Musical", stark, dark, industrial, is magnificent.  Superb acting, larger than life production numbers, incredible dancing – both ballet and tap – demand your attention, and yet, in the middle of all that spectacle, there are all these small quietly emotional scenes, too. The miners are men’s men, the strikers and the police have violent clashes, the little girls giggle, but the emotions are honest and open.  Gritty, sometimes violent, often profane, but in the end triumphant, "Billy Elliot" gets 4 BIG Spotlights.

Yesterday afternoon (2/28/2024), at 2:30 p.m., Trooper Millburg was patrolling Interstate 74 near the 20-mile marker. Trooper Millburg observed a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix traveling eastbound, missing one of its tires and traveling on the rim.

Detectives from the DNR Law Enforcement Division, along with officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, are currently leading an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred at the parking lot near the North Gate of Clifty Falls State Park.

Indiana Conservation Officer Connor Christman has been selected the 2023 District 6 Officer of the Year (Morgan County).

Indiana Conservation Officer Alex Toth, who serves LaPorte County, has been selected as the 2023 District 10 Officer of the Year.

Toth has served as a conservation officer since 2017.

In addition to his normal duties as a field officer, he also serves as a scuba diver, use of force instructor, firearms instructor, field training officer, and passenger for hire inspector.
