Applications for the 2024 Jeff Impact Fellowship Awards to help inspire early career artists of color in the Greater Chicagoland area are due Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 5:00 pm (CDT). 

For the first time since before World War II, a Eucharistic Congress is being held in the United States. As part of that historic gathering, more than 500 people are expected to gather in Whiting, Indiana, Monday July 1st at 6:30 PM to welcome the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage into Indiana, culminating in a procession through the city to the shores of Lake Michigan.

In January of 1998, a state highway employee found skeletal remains along Fruitridge Avenue near the I-70 overpass in Vigo County. Over the past 26 years several investigative techniques and many hours have been spent trying to identify the skeletal remains, without success.

All the Elton John fans really enjoyed the Elton Jeff & the Honky Cats concert at Theatre at the Center.  I enjoy Elton John’s music in small doses so even though the costumes were sparkly and the music upbeat, it was a bit much for me.

The band Gone to Paradise pays tribute to Jimmy Buffet and his Coral Reefer Band, clearly embracing the laid-back island vibe! As a Parrothead from way back, I can honestly say that their concert at Theatre at the Center was almost as much fun as an actual Jimmy Buffet concert – and I saw many of those!
