Rogers Adds Two More to 2023 Roster
The Gary SouthShore RailCats have re-signed infielder Victor Nova and pitcher Julio Vivas.
Nova, 23, will return for his second season with the RailCats. He hit .270 in 51 games last season, primarily playing at third base. His eight home runs ranked third on the team. Prior to joining the RailCats he spent time with both the San Diego Padres and Cleveland Guardians organizations.
RailCats Re-Sign Seven Pitchers
The Gary SouthShore RailCats have re-signed pitchers Edward Cuello, Chris Erwin, Yesion Medina, Aaron Phillips, Jared Price, Reyson Santos, and John Sheaks for the 2023 season.
Cuello, 24, will return to Gary SouthShore for a second season. The right-hander from the Dominican Republic started 11 games last season. He posted a 3-6 record and finished the year with 46 strikeouts in 46.1 innings pitched. He previously spent four seasons in the Los Angeles Dodger organization reaching as high as Triple A (Oklahoma City).
RailCats Bring Back Six
The Gary SouthShore RailCats have re-signed Michael Woodworth, Sam Abbott, LG Castillo, Sherman Graves, Thomas Greely, and Lester Madden.
Woodworth, 25, re-signs with Gary SouthShore for a third season. The second baseman led the RailCats in games played (99), at-bats (401), runs (75), hits (118), and triples (8). The eights triples also led the entire American Association. The former Oakland Athletics prospect stole 23 bases.
RailCats Re-Sign Three All-Stars
The Gary SouthShore RailCats have re-signed All-Stars Daniel Lingua, Jack Eisenbarger and Harrison Francis.
MILAZZO RETURNS TO SCHAUMBURG FOR 2023
Arlington Heights, IL native Brett Milazzo returns to Schaumburg as Manager Jamie Bennett adds another veteran piece to the roster for 2023. Brett is back for his 3rd season in Schaumburg.
