Though the Gary SouthShore RailCats managed to hang around in the early goings, the Chicago Dogs showed exactly why they occupy the top spot in the East Division from the fifth inning onward. Their offense produced seven runs in their final five turns at-bat to secure an 8-2 win.
Yesterday, June 29th, at approximately 8:57 p.m., a vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Ridge Road and Beech Avenue in Munster. The crash involved a black Munster Police Department Ford Explorer being driven by Officer Bradley Riemerts and a white 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck being driven by David Mora.

June is here, and that means Canterbury Summer Theatre is back. Canterbury opened the season with a rather eerie play, "The Thin Place" by Lucas Hnath, directed by David Graham. Friday, July 1 as the Oilmen kick off Independence Day weekend with Military Appreciation Night. The Oilmen will host the Lake County Corn Dogs at 7:10 p.m. at Oil City Stadium on an evening to celebrate America and America’s pastime by recognizing those who protect our country.
