2021-22 Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts Season

Fri, 10/01/2021 - 3:40pm by laughingcat

We’re excited to share our 2021-22 Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts Season and welcome back audiences for safe in-person performances.

The Wirtz Center focuses on providing diverse opportunities for our students to create and perform live in front of audiences. Our 13 live productions were selected in the spirit of trying new models, adjusting to new challenges and providing an even deeper commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our season features a behind-the-scenes arts open house; plays by Rajiv Joseph, Jiehae Park, and Quiara Alegría Hudes; as well as a rambunctious Broadway musical.

As Northwestern, the city of Evanston, and the state of Illinois update their guidelines, the Wirtz Center will continue to work with our health and safety specialists to evaluate and alter our plans as necessary. We are committed to keeping you informed and encourage you to learn more about our latest health and safety guidelines.

Patrons can purchase a Wirtz Center FLEXPASS for $115, allowing one admission to any six 2021-22 Mainstage productions and/or The Waa-Mu Show. The Wirtz Center FLEXPASS may be redeemed for six tickets to one performance, two tickets to three performances, or any other combination. You may redeem any ticket(s) in your Wirtz Center FLEXPASS immediately, or you may wait and make your reservations later in the season. It’s entirely your choice! Single tickets are also now on sale. Your seat is waiting; we look forward to welcoming you back!

The Wirtz Center is a collaborative hub across Northwestern University's School of Communication—and along with our counterpart, the Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Center for Performing and Media Arts in Chicago (more about this new venue soon)—we look forward to fostering more inspiring partnerships and innovative work within and around the theatrical form.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Wirtz Center!

Sincerely,

  • Al Heartley,
  • Managing Director
  • Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts
