Andrade extends support for Munster Jewish community in wake of Israel attack

Dear neighbor:
This weekend, the world watched in horror as thousands of innocent Israeli citizens — including children and women — were killed in a terrorist attack at the hands of the Hamas terrorist organization.
My prayers and heart go out to the people of Israel suffering from this heinous act of terrorism. Violence against innocent civilians will never lead to peace, and we are all called to condemn these cowardly acts whenever and wherever they occur.
The Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana is in our district, and I’ve seen firsthand the significant contributions the Jewish community in Munster have blessed our community with. While the terror in the Middle East may seem distant, many of our neighbors have children and loved ones in Israel. I can’t begin to imagine the fear that they are feeling right now and send my sincerest hopes that their loved ones stay safe. I want to make it abundantly clear: I stand in firm solidarity with the Jewish community in Northwest Indiana and will continue my work to ensure their safety and ability to live peacefully and without fear in Munster and throughout Indiana.
