Art Barn showcases their annual Student Instructor Exhibition from January 25 through February 29 with an opening reception on February 2 from 5:00 to 7:00pm CDT that includes light bites and refreshments. This year's exhibition includes 19 participants with a total of 46 pieces of artwork, including paintings, ceramic/clay and glass work.
Instructors who taught, and students who participated in, 2023 classes were invited to showcase their art to the Art Barn community. The purpose of this exhibition is three-fold: It provides an opportunity for instructors to share their work with students and the greater community; to provide a platform for students to share their projects and creative efforts; and for Art Barn to shine a light on classes and workshops, while inspiring others to explore our educational offerings.

"I like to utilize art as a source of inspiration and information when I teach. Providing the Students and Instructors the opportunity to showcase their work and gain information and inspiration from each other, establishes a culture of sharing and learning in our Art Barn community." says Julia Holmaas, instructor of upcoming class, Watercolor Adventures (starting Jan 26, visit our website www.artbarnschool.org to register).
Works in the exhibition may be available for sale and will benefit artists in the community, with a portion retained to support Art Barn programs and operations. Three prizes will be awarded to students to celebrate and acknowledge their artistic excellence. We look forward to creating a space for artists of all levels to experience showcasing their work with their community.
