
"Reupholster With A Purpose" in a Free Workshop for Women Veterans
South Shore Arts is excited to partner with Teena's Legacy for a free Reupholstery Class on September 3, from 12-4pm, at Substation No. 9, the South Shore Arts branch in downtown Hammond. This class is offered to women veterans, as well as the wives, mothers, and daughters of veterans.

Teena's Legacy founder, Jamika Smith, believes in the power of women learning, sharing, and working together. This class aims to boost self-esteem, sharpen imagination, and enhance the creative mind while learning a new skill.
Lunch will be provided along with all supplies, including vintage chairs for repurposing.

Join artist and therapist, Suzanne Brown, for a special series of mindful “Art for the Soul” workshops. These 3-hour classes are designed for students to recharge their creative center and let their inner artistic side run free.
