Art Barn School of Art, in cooperation with Pines Village Retirement Communities and Opportunity Enterprises, will begin art classes that run from March through May on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at Pines Village’s Meridian Woods Community Center.
If you are 65 or over, curious to find out if you can draw and even paint in watercolor, this class is for you! Join Art Barn School of Art at Meridian Woods Community Center in Valparaiso for weekly classes focused on drawing and watercolor skills for older adults of all levels. This class is open to Community Members 65 and over, who will be in a combined group with residents of Pines Village/Meridian Woods and adult learners with disabilities through Opportunity Enterprises. A gentle approach to learning to draw and paint from observation is the focus, in a comfortable, accessible space that fosters conversation and community. Instructor Suzie Rosso will show you that drawing and painting is possible, and FUN, at any age! All supplies are included in this 90-minute, 4-week program that will run in March, April, and May.
Community members can register online at artbarnschool.org. Spots are limited.
Residents of Pines Village can register directly through Pines Village and transportation will be provided.
