With the summer approaching, the Munster Police Department will once again be holding a Bicycle Safety Blitz in between May 21-27.
During that time our officers will be looking for vehicles that are violating the rules about bicycle lanes but they will also be looking to instruct bicyclists on any violations as well. As a reminder to bicyclists, you must follow the same rules of the road (traffic signals, posted signage, etc.) as motorists.
