Chicago Fire FC hosted a volunteer event today in partnership with Dawn® and the Greater Chicago Food Depository in which Club staff, supporters, and special guest and Fire defender, Wyatt Omsberg, helped package over 10,000 donated meals for the local Chicago community.
The event was part of Dawn’s “Free Kicks for Free Meals” Initiative, in which Dawn® pledged 100 free meals for every free kick the Fire earned this season. Since the start of the season, the Fire have won 353 free kicks, with the initiative already contributing 35,300 meals to the Chicago community.
More information on the partnership can be found here.
The Fire face off against the New England Revolution tonight, August 31 at 6:30 p.m. CT at Gillette Stadium. The match will be broadcast on WGN-TV and CF97Live and will be transmitted locally in Spanish on TUDN 1200AM.
