The Marshall J Gardner Center welcomes two artists for its new exhibit Ways of Seeing. Elena Gray & Adam Johnson: Ways of Seeing at the Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts through November 20th.
Michigan-based artist Elena Gray's work combines screen printing and other printmaking techniques with painting to create richly layered compositions on canvas and wood panels. Her art delves into themes of girlhood, home, memory, gaze, and duality, drawing inspiration from photographs she collects or captures of friends and family.
Adam Johnson, a regional photographer, presents a series of street photographs from Seoul, Korea, from his time there as a member of the Air Force. His images focus on observing moments as they unfold, preserving both the subject’s privacy and the scene's integrity. He strives to convey presence, atmosphere, and an honest reflection of the everyday.
