Under Ricci's leadership, the Indiana Arts Commission has been recognized as a national leader with groundbreaking work in emerging artist development, cultural district development and arts and community engagement strategies and research. Programs including PACE (Partnering Arts, Community and Education), Arts in the Parks and State Historic Sites, On-Ramp Entrepreneur Accelerator, and Indiana Arts Homecoming have all been developed during his 
tenure. He will retire with more than 15 years of service to the Commission and the State of Indiana.
Over the next year, a search committee comprised of commissioners, the Office of the Governor, and external stakeholders will identify the next leader of the agency. The committee is committed to selecting a leader dedicated to advancing the agency's values of inclusion, diversity, equity and access.
The search committee anticipates opening applications for this position in March 2021 and more information will be forthcoming about the search and selection process.
