Theatre at the Center was the place to be Saturday, August 22nd for the Flatbed Fords: Best of the Eagles concert. Everyone in Northwest Indiana really needed a fun night out – and the Flatbed Fords gave them a great one!
The intro, Victim of Love isn’t one of my favorites, but they more than made up for that with One of Those Nights, Lyin’ Eyes, Tequila Sunrise and Peaceful Easy Feeling, one after another. In the mix – The Heat Is On, Desperato and Life in the Fast Lane.

Act two, started out slow, but Witchy Woman came second, followed by some less well-known songs. Finally, toward the end of the set, they rolled into Hotel California and Take It Easy, with Heartache Tonight as the encore.
The band includes Jim Coleman, vocals and lead guitar, Jim Sokachitch, vocals and guitar, Ron Romero, vocals and bass, Todd Loizzo, keyboard, and Erik Enervold, drums. My husband couldn’t believe that there were five – yes, five – guitars in a stand behind Jim Coleman – and he played each-and-every one of them. The vocalists got a little pitchy on the high notes, but otherwise a stellar concert!
