Form + Vision: An Exhibition of CAC Faculty

April 3rd – May 3rd

Reception: Friday, Apr 4, 5–7PM

Location: Ellen Firme Gallery, 92 US Hwy 12, Beverly Shores

Chesterton Art Center (CAC) is excited to announce “Form + Vision: An Exhibition of CAC Faculty” at Ellen Firme Gallery in Beverly Shores.

All CAC programs are led by outstanding teaching artists who are skilled practitioners of their respective artistic disciplines. This year, CAC is incredibly pleased to have organized a showcase of their amazing talents to recognize publicly what a treasure these human beings are. “Form + Vision: An Exhibition of CAC Faculty” will contain works from 25 artists working in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, ceramics, glass, fiber, printmaking, photography, and mixed media.

Any art center who offers educational programming relies on a committed cohort of teaching artists to not only deliver instruction but to serve as a welcoming presence that builds relationships with the community. We couldn’t do the work we do without their commitment, and we are extraordinarily excited to be able share their work with others!

“I work with all these artists on a daily basis—planning schedules, developing curricula and promoting classes. All our CAC teaching artists are wonderful people, and every day I feel so lucky that I have the privilege of working with them,” said Cara Schmitt, Education Director. “Organizing this exhibition has been a reminder of just how much talent they have and how dedicated to their personal studio practices they all are.”

“Form + Vision: An Exhibition of CAC Faculty” will be open from April 3–May 3 at Ellen Firme Gallery, 92 US Hwy 12, Beverly Shores. A public reception will be held on Friday, April 4, 5–7 PM.
