About HIP Work Requirements
Beginning in January 2027, HIP members ages 19–64 who are not exempt will be required to complete 80 hours each month through work, part‑time education, job training, or community service. These requirements emphasize a balanced, values-driven approach: pairing compassion with member responsibility, ensuring that access to healthcare is supported by work, job training, education, and community participation.
