Governor Eric J. Holcomb today announced Joshua M. Howell as his judicial appointment to the Marion City Court. Howell will replace Judge Michael Hotz who resigned effective Dec. 31, 2023.
Joshua Howell is a deputy prosecuting attorney for Grant County. Immediately following law school Howell worked in a private practice in Grant County until 2023. During that time, he served as corporation counsel for the City of Marion and worked as a part-time deputy prosecuting attorney.
Joshua Howell received an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
Howell will be sworn in as Judge on a date to be determined.
