Grant DePorter, CEO of Harry Caray's Restaurants and event organizer, said he's happy to present this annual event to the late Chicago actor/director/writer Ramis, who was also a partner in Harry Caray's Restaurant.
"When he (Ramis) passed away (in 2014) we decided to celebrate his life and we decided to do it on Groundhog Day," DePorter said. He added the first celebration was centered around the movie "Groundhog Day."
"This year we decided to mix it up with "Animal House."' DePorter said.
Among cast members scheduled to appear are Tim Mathieson, James Widdoes, Peter Riegert, Mark Metcalf, Martha Smith, James Daughton and Richard Henzel. Mathieson will serve as master of ceremonies for the event.

DePorter said he's been a longtime fan of Ramis' films.
"I love Harold's movies," DePorter said, adding he watched many of them with his friends back in the day when he lived at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. His father, Don DePorter, ran the Hyatt Regency, and the family resided there.
"We had SpectraVision in the hotel, which had a lot of channels, so I would see all those movies all the time."
As part of the Ramis celebration, Harry Caray's will be presenting special menu items inspired by Ramis' films available for purchase. For more information, visit www.harrycarays.com/harry-carays-tavern-navy-pier.
