He will serve as the Public Information Officer for Indiana State Police Lafayette Post.
Piers is a native of Washington, Illinois and a 2012 graduate of Washington Community High School. In 2016, he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in sociology from Western Illinois University.
On November 19, 2015, Piers graduated from the 75th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was appointed as a Trooper assigned to the Lafayette Post. During his career, Piers has served as a member of the Tactical Intervention Platoon, All Crimes Policing Team, and as a Field Training Officer. In 2017 he was awarded Trooper of the District for the Lafayette Post and he was a recipient of the Department’s Life Saving Award in 2018.
Piers is a resident of Tippecanoe County.
