Need to Know:

Try Our New Catalog!

A person standing on a mountain. Discover more. Try our new catalogOur catalog has gotten a major overhaul! You'll see some big differences in the catalog when you visit in any browser. (Search enhancements will soon be available in the app, too! Saved lists in the app will still be separate, though.)

Here are some highlights:

  • More relevant search results--no more scrolling past study guides to find the novel you want to read.

  • Libby items automatically included in searches. You can even check out Libby items right from your search results.

  • "In-library use only" items are more clearly marked, so you won't go through the holds process only to find you can't take home an item.

  • All formats of a title bundled together. See at a glance whether there's a large print or audiobook version.

  • Search your saved lists (now called bookmarks) to more easily find what you saved. Bookmarks are also fully printable!

Try the New Catalog!

Not keen on change? The old catalog is still available!

A note on saved reading lists:

If you made changes to your reading lists after 9:30 PM on October 22, those changes may not have carried over to the new catalog. Your changes are still viewable at pac.lcplin.org/polaris. Further changes to lists will not sync between the old and new catalog. We hope you'll enjoy all the new features brought to reading lists on the new catalog!

You Asked, We Answered!

Ask a LibrarianQuestion: I’m 16 and need volunteer hours for National Honors Society. Can I volunteer at the library?

Answer: Yes! We are always looking for teen volunteers, ages 12-17, to help at our branches. Whether it is pulling books, preparing craft bags, helping with a program, etc., we would love to help you meet your service hour requirements for school. Head to your local branch to pick up a volunteer application and waiver!

Bonus: Teen volunteers who complete 50 hours of service will earn a silver card, our way of recognizing your hard work. With a silver card you will have access to higher checkout limits and all of our collection, including special items like video games, is fine free!

Note: We cannot accommodate court ordered community service hours.
