Set in 1979, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with their sexist, egotistical boss. In a hilarious turn of events, they give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that has always kept them down.
And why did Directors Bette Jo Diaz and D.J. Halicky choose to do this show?
“Mainly because it’s still very relevant to today’s events and topics like starting life over after divorce, being a single working mother, sexual harassment in the workplace and even the pay gap between the sexes. How much has really changed,” said D. J.
"People today are still talking about these important issues but in this “9 to 5” we’ll will be singing and dancing about them too. Sometimes a lighter, funnier touch can help you see things in a different way.”
