Mercury, Chicago’s Skyline Cruiseline’s famed Canine Cruise, “the most pet-friendly” cruise on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan (Forbes.com) returns on Saturday, July 8th. The 90-minute cruise, which runs through October, features lively narration on Chicago’s rich history and architectural marvels with dog-friendly highlights, such as dog parks, fire hydrants and dining hot-spots. The tour offers unparalleled views of the city’s skyline and countless Instagram-worthy photo opportunities for dogs and owners alike.
Departing every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. from Chicago’s Riverwalk at Michigan Ave. and Wacker Dr., the canine-centric cruise takes place on the Chicago’s Little Lady vessel and provides plenty of safe outdoor seating for pets and their owners. Water bowls are available for dogs; bar and snack services are also available for owners. Leashes are required on this cruise and dogs must remain on their owner’s lap, in a seat or on the deck during the duration of the cruise.
Cruisegoers and their canine companions can round out the day with several dog-friendly activities on and around the Riverwalk.
